"I am riding to help improve the health of mothers and their newborns in rural Zimbabwe. I'm doing this to raise money for training hospital workers later this year: Like a famous king from long ago: I will not offer to God that which cost me nothing."
"I am riding for the Gutu Mission Hospital because it is a mission like the work Dr. Jean Chamberlain does in other parts of Africa. Dr. Chamberlain delivered both my beautiful grandchildren in Canada. I am intrigued by the work done in Africa to improve the lives of mothers and infants as well as outcomes. As a Christian, I have no medical training but I will do my part raising funds for the Gutu Mission Hospital."
"I am riding for fun and to raise funds for EMAS."
"I am pleased to by able to support the good work done by the Gutu Mission Hospital. It will be exciting to ride with the Zimbabwe National Cycling Team on this fifth anniversary of the ride. What a joy it will be to support a wonderful cause while cycling, a sport that I greatly enjoy."
"I am riding because I want mothers and babies in Gutu to have access to adequate care and have better health outcomes. 'To whom much is given much is required' - contributing to this ride is one way to use my time and resources to support Gutu Mission Hospital, the facility where my mother was born."
"Great ride last year and for such an important cause."
Supporting the cyclists and fundraising
"If a simple thing like a bike ride can improve the health of mothers and babies in Zimbabwe, then sign me up! I had a great time last year, can't wait to ride again!"
"I'm riding to help provide support and awareness for the needs of mothers and babies at the Gutu Mission Hospital in Zimbabwe. What a great cause! 'Freely you have received, freely give.' Matthew 10:8. looking forward to a great ride with like-minded folks!"
"My husband has been riding for Gutu for 3 years, and although I've been inspired by the cause, I've watched from the sidelines. This year, I'm challenging myself and joining in."

Meet the support Team

Thanks to our amazing support team of the 2026 Ride for Gutu Mission Hospital.

By sponsoring a cyclist, you can help provide the resources needed to improve the maternity ward and clinical services at Gutu Mission Hospital in Zimbabwe.

Funds raised in Canada will go towards the refurbishment of the maternity ward at Gutu Mission Hospital and staff training. Funds raised in Zimbabwe through the Reformed Church of Zimbabwe will go towards an ambulance.
